This past weekend while walking along Georgetown Waterfront Park (which is quite a lovely destination in DC and reminds me just a teensy bit of NYC’s phenomenal High Line), I saw this Monarch butterfly among fluffy purple New England aster:
The colors and textures inspired me to create my own composition:
