A Colorful Crew

This past Monday, on my blissful day off from work for Columbus Day, I took a leisurely morning stroll along Georgetown Harbour. I noticed this crew team practicing on the Potomac:

The image reminded me of this Ellsworth Kelly installation at the National Gallery (I recently visited the museum with my mom):

In both settings, there’s an appealing serenity to the rhythmic colors.  I think I need to take more days off…
