
Inspired by Nature: Fendi
[In case you were wondering, my creative juices are flowing once again after my site was hacked a couple of weeks ago. Whew, was I stressed out and confused, but I’m back in the saddle now—a tad more jaded.]
Yesterday, I decided to capitalize on the balmy and sunny weather by going on a meandering photo safari at Georgetown Waterfront Park, which has become such a rich source of inspiration for me. This time ’round, the autumn foliage and flora in their seasonal state reminded me of certain looks from fashion shows. You’ll see in a sec.
First, to give you some context, here is the view of the park looking west towards the Key Bridge:
And here is the view looking east towards Washington Harbour:
Now I have no idea what the name of this planting is but as soon as I saw it, I first thought it looked like a chow chow:
But then, I also thought about this look (check out the flowing flaxen stole) from the Fendi Fall 2011 Ready-to-Wear Collection:
This was another planting that caught my eye. It was particularly pretty in the sunlight:
And it made me recall this other look (check out the neck adornment) from the same Fendi fashion show:
